The Indian Gospel League Australian Training Association (IGLATA) was established to provide gospel training of pastors and key leaders in both India and Sri Lanka (through their partnership with the India Gospel League). This is achieved by sending Australian teams trained to teach theological content drawn from Moore College’s PTC material. With initial financial assistance drawn from the then Archbishop of Sydney’s Overseas Ministry Fund, translation of the material into some of the sixteen major Indian languages began. For example, Introduction to the Bible has now been translated into ten languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Punjabi and Sinhala.
The Centre for Global Mission is currently working with IGLATA to set up an Online Learning Environment and a supporting database. IGLATA will use these tools to provide increased access to theological education. They are currently using the Moore College PTC material in ENGLISH and several INDIAN DIALECTS. There are ongoing translations of the PTC material into Indian dialects.
