The Alexandria School of Theology (AST) is a strategic venture of the Episcopal / Anglican Diocese of Egypt with North Africa and the Horn of Africa. They are the only Anglican theological institution in the Middle East which teaches primarily in Arabic. AST trains Christian lay people and clergy to serve Christ in the Anglican Church as well as in other churches in their region of the world. They are committed to serving the Kingdom of God and growing Christ’s church through the theological and spiritual formation of Christian leaders.
The Centre for Global Mission is currently working with the Alexandria School of Theology enabling the translation of the first six subjects of Moore College’s PTC into Arabic. CGM has provided the Arabic translations of Introduction to the Bible, Promise to Fulfilment and Ephesians, which will be reviewed by AST and prepared for online use. AST is working on the translation of New Testament 1, Old Testament 1 and Doctrine 1. CGM is also setting up an Online Learning Environment and a supporting database which will enable AST to provide online access to theological education.
